Oil pan/ header ground clearance

What kind of ground clearance it a good idea to have? Right now I have 6 1/4" on oil pan and
5" ish on headers, it's street driven. Like to go 1" lower, I know how to drive around potholes, well maybe.

I've got 6-1/4" on a 5-qt. Moroso with stock ride height. No headers, I don't worry, but I don't go crazy over curbs,potholes. Personally I wouldn't go much more than 1" lower, you know those headers are going to be even closer to the ground. When I raced w/same pan& 2-1/4" Hookers I was down maybe 1-1/2"-2", but I watched what I was doing- no street.
