I do i have S/S stock springs & long Drag Shocks and a Pinion Snubber and mine works well i have friends who have gone to other setups..

What say you are you still running old school or did you Change your over just curious to see what other have done i may learn something new..

We've succesfully run this suspension into the mid 10's on 9x28. It does take a stiff shock to get there. 11.50 or slower will usually work with a standard good quality C body shock. Go to sktt 1209 on youtube and find the shock testing video

It all seems to be dictated by power-levels, use of the car, or appearance. My road runner is stock stuff, my WO and 66 Belvedere are 4-link, and my `cuda is aftermarket-stock, and my old wagon was S/S springs[w/air-shocks for adjustment].

I'm running old SS springs, 2" lowering blocks & a pinion snubber and seems fine on the street. I have no idea what it would do with slicks.

In the '70 - '80's ran my '65 Coronet bracket car to 10.50's with SS copies no pinion snubber (never needed one after I built race like springs). Hooked hard. My '"new" '66 Satellite just now has SS springs no snubber, (if the springs are working why need leverage from a snubber? Protect the U joint?). I'll see how the SS springs work. Coil over ladder bar or 4 link sure lighter. Ladder bars worked great on my tube car with the advice of my chassis builder.

Complete Cal Trac Setup for me.
Cal Trac Bars, Mono Leaf RR Springs, Cal Trac 9 way Adj RR shocks and Cal Trac 90/10 front shocks and 5" of front wheel travel.

CalTracs & viking shocks. You might concider my heap high HP,what is high HP for a street driven car??

Cal Tracs and stock springs, 9 way rear shocks and 90/10s on the front. 499 iron headed engine, 430 Dana, 3540 car weight. May upgrade to MonoLeaf, mostly because the stock springs are old.

10.82 1/4 mile best
6.83 1/8 mile best 1.47 60ft

Oh yes....10 1/2 X 29.5 stiffwall slicks
