Believe it or not this happens more often than you think. During my career so far I've seen 3 rumdumbs shoot themselves in the James and giant peaches. Once with a .45, once with a 40 and lastly a 38.
Damage yes, but not as bad as what you think. A vast majority of the time these idiots have just no pun intended.....ball ammo. Now if its a wad cutter....no pun intended game over.
In my cases, these dipshits were back in circulation, and one actually sired 2 more kids.
