Out for a quiet little drive around Dublin Ireland

I was spotted cruising along one of out main highways around the city. I have to say I was delighted to be sent a video. Originally a 318 Mod Top now sporting a 440 bored .030 and a whiplash cam running open headers. Still holding on to the 8 1/4 back end but I think thats about to go bye bye so I'll be replacing that very soon.

I was having over heating issues. Running a champion rafiator with 2 12" fans . Was fine on highway driving but stopping in traffic it would creep up to 210. Turns out it was caused by a crummy rad cap so I'm running a 16psi cap with the red lever and thats solved the issue. Something so simple could've cost a lot of money if I over thought the issue.

Let's see more pictures of your fine car.

Here's a few more snaps taken by some photographers over the last few weeks. You can also see in one of the photos a few horsepower tears that was caused by my Chinese rad cap. There was a very weird light in the sky that weekend which caused all car enthusiasts and bike enthusiasts to get their motors out of the garage for a rip around on the weekend. I know not many folk are fans of mod top mopars but this one is faded to hell. It's also unusual to have a Mod top done hot rod style which I really like.
Looking at changing wheels next as the chrome on my supreme wheels is flaking. Getting them rechromed is not an option here in Ireland so I'm thinking of keeping up with the old school drag look and installing some 5 spoke wheels on the front with round window rims on the rear with some fat tires. Currently have calvert springs in the rear but I'd actually like it a bit higher to allow a tire to sit out past the arch FB_IMG_1746993535039.jpgFB_IMG_1746992982499.jpgIMG_20250312_194015_009.jpgFB_IMG_1745824685208.jpgFB_IMG_1747033387408.jpg

Also I'd love to find the original owner or some of the owners that had the car stateside back in the day. It was bought from a dealer in kentucky in 2006 then imported to Ireland. I know in the early 90's it lived in Ohio. Before that I know zero about the car. It's an original white Mod top with floral interior. 318 with a 904 and drums all around. Now with a 440, 727, and wilwood discs up front

Thanks. Much appreciated. She needs paint as currently she looks great from 8ft away after 8 o'clock at night but I'm a fan of getting things running so they can be enjoyed instead of spending forever restoring only to sit in a garage as they end up worth so much money people are afraid to drive them

Great car, I wouldn't change a thing. Exactly the type of car running around the streets in the 70's and 80's around here.

Love the Day two look with the mod top
Haven't heard anyone say the day two look in years. That's basically the style I live. I just think it's better with the mod top as mod tops are rare because nobody wanted them back in the day. Most were changed for black then fitted with the headers and big wheels. Modern day mod tops are kept original as they are rare. Screw that. I'm going proper joe dirt style here

I'd be happy with flush with the lip. It just needs something fatter back there

Yup: The magic place is out as far as it can without rubbing. Never should have sold my 4 speed GTX.

You're lucky to have a mod top. Are there any shamrocks concealed in the pattern?
:)

It's pretty hard to make out most of the pattern now because it's so faded. One day I might get a new one from SMS
