Out of all my cars people like this one the most.

I'm not going to run down all the cars I have but ironically this is the most loved. I gave it to my daughter so it's not officially mine. It's a 1981 Camaro Bumblebee. It has rust, hardly any of the gauges work, it has a good 3/8' of Bondo on the driver's side basically it's a total mess. It was painted the right shade of yellow and the guy took $900 for a running/driving car. We put the black stripes on it and even though it's not exactly the right year as the movie car everyone loves it.

Kids go nuts over it at car shows and we urge them to hop in it and have their moms take photos of them behind the wheel. It's got a 350 with a decent exhaust so every time we take it through a fast food drive trough it gets comments. Especially the girls. They don't want a Camaro, they want "The Bumblebee." It's getting warm here and my daughter has been driving around Denver and has been getting the thumbs up.

It's just funny how a car I have about $2,000 invested in gets all the love.

No disrespect to Mopars, we have lots of them, and they are much nicer cars and trucks.

Of course, then there's this famous pose.

I could see the love if Megan Fox
was leaning over & checking it out too

I've had a few gen 1-2-3-4 Camaro's & gen 2-3-4-5 Trans Ams'
I really liked my 71 Z28 Hugger orange with white rally stripes
& 78 Z28, great driver, not much power,
White brown/orange/tan stripes/buckskin interior
my 76 RS Camaro, black top 1/2 & white 2 tone
sort of resto-mod before resto-mods,
car had several diiferent intakes on it, different times
2x4bbl cross ram, a Smokey ram or a Torker/Holley combo,
with a L88 glass hood
my racecars 67s RS/SS & Z28 or 68s RS/Z28

The early Trans Am's got a lot of attention too,
especially the gen 2s 70-1/2 white with blue center stripe
& the 73 sd-455 blue with white center stripe

but;
Just not much love for my MoPars 68-70 RR, GTX & Chargers
really the only of them was the 68 Charger R/Ts
that got any respect at all, a few passing words
& occasional VIN or Fender tag snobs,
usually people with 'no cool cars/no MoPars' at all

I'm ok with that too, probably why I like them cars so much...

My experience, girls, including my youngest like 'curvy' cars with flashy colors. My '63 Fury is of little interest - not curvy enough and such I guess...and get asked if it's a Chevy or Ford...

I've always loved the 2nd gens especially the Firebird.

IF Megan Fox lean over a renault pos in the way she did in that movie the pos would be as much as famous as the the 2nd gen camaro just saying...

I was hanging out with my friend last week, and he has more than twice as many cars than I have, most are Mopars, but he has a few Pontiacs and Chevys. This is his 70 Firebird 350 4 speed car.

I had a 76 camaro in the correct color yellow I mimiced the stripes and damage almost perfect!
I took it to a transformers car show was the only car there styled after a movie car!
No trophy for me the pile of rice burners with crooked wheels won!
Oh did I mention the car club putting on the show was the rice burners !
Hmmm I think it was rigged!

But tons of kids going to see the new movie loved my car and lots of pictures were taken!
That's all that matters really
