Outside mirrors for 2nd generation Chargers

Is there a difference in mounting when it comes to the standard mirrors compared to the sport mirrors? is the way the mount and the hole spacing the same?

I like the standard chrome mirrors better. The painted sport mirrors just do not look right to me. A little more exterior bling is always better.

I’m just the opposite. The chrome looks too Chevy to me.

The dual round chrome mirrors look great to me. I'm still on the fence about the sport mirrors; chrome and painted.

I'll have to go to Carlisle and look over some '70 Chargers. Nothing around here in coastal Georgia except one DOH Charger.

I like the sport chromed...

I have the standard chrome mirrors and both are pitted, so I was thinking of replacing them. The doors were already drilled for the mirrors, but I can not see anything out of the passenger side mirror. So I figured if I was thinking of getting new chrome ones why not try the sport mirrors? I have the chance of the passenger side working, and if it doesnt, at least I have new chrome on the doors.

You still won't see anything but quarter panel "hip" on the passenger side.

I may see about having a glass shop cut me a slightly convex (wide angle) lens for my passenger side, just to see if it helps ...

I cant even see the quarter panel with the standard mirror. I have to place my head a little past the centerline of the vehicle before I can see the quarter through the passenger mirror.

Mmm, I have never had any issues using my mirrors on the passenger side of any of my Chargers.

Why are you trying to see the quarter panel in your side mirror? You should aim that to view your blind spot... :)
