It kinda depends on what kind (brand) your using, and are you painting the jambs too? I would at least get 1 to 1 & 1/2 gallons of base.
Most of the cars I've painted, I would order a gallon and a half, to two gallons and be able to get three coats on including all the jambs with PPG DBC.
Also remember what color is your primer and base color. Primer tint or close to color helps and using a decent Hvlp. if you use a bottom feed gun figure 30 percent extra. 1.5 gallon, if you use a good quality Sata, or similar gun. I fyou use a cheap harbor freight gun for any thing other than primer an extra 1/4 to 1/2 gal more.
I'm assuming you're talking 1 1/2 to 2 reduced and ready to shoot. I'm shooting sublime over light gray, I know a Dart I had done a few years back took 5-6 coats of Nason - don't think I'll be using Nason again, in this color anyway!
