I'm having a hard time finding sources for mechanical parts for my 73 Roadrunner. I expected a greater web presence for some Mopar supplier. Found Classic and Auto Parts Warehouse but either one didn't look too comprehensive. Any suggestions?

I don't need body stuff just steering, brakes, alternator, fuel pump, suspension, A/C ect.

Thanks Chuck

Look at some of the vendors on this forum there are lots of them i use rockauto.com for a lot of my mechanical parts ,

Ours is a serious feast and famine market. :) You can go months without seeing a thing for sale, then wham! Everyone's got the parts you need. Don't forget that a lot of our mechanical parts are still being made, so don't overlook your local parts stores.

I rebuilt the front suspension and brakes on my 64 all with parts that I got from the local NAPA that I used to work at. It's a pretty big store so we actually had a lot of the parts in stock. If we didn't have something we could usually have it by the next day. We sold a lot of stuff to the classic car dealers and repair shops in the area. Just remember that when you go into a parts store that it's usually the old guys that know the old cars. Makes sense huh?

napa should have brakes...year one or other vendors have fuel pumps.....autozone or other auto distributors like it should have alternator....springs and shocks at jeggs...summitt

I have used (p-s-t.com) for front end rebuild kits, brake rebuild kits, shocks and struts. And a ton of other parts over the years. I have always been very satisfied with their products and service and their guarantee. They will even cater to your needs if you are upgrading to larger ball joints on your a-body, or any other combination you can imagine. Your local auto supply store can most likely fill your needs for the other hard parts.

I have had good luck with Roseville, they have bent over backwards to help. The vendors are all over the place as to what each stocks. So when you are thinking of a perticular project please post a more specific inquiry and we will be better able to steer you to folks who we have used before. There is more than a couple around here with the 73/74. And don't forget there is a whols bunch of interchangability between the RR, Sat and Charger, some times parts will be listed for only one model
