Passenger Vehicle Oil Temps: 240 degrees to 260 degrees

I installed a Stewart Warner oil temperature gauge in the oil pan sump of my parent's new '71 Road Runner. I had forgotten what the cruising oil temperature was; this article refreshed my memory, must have been about 240 degrees.
