Bought this pertronics flamethrower 2 at a swap meet in Columbus. Motor is a 68 383. Not exactly fitting properly. Any suggestions.

Some have used a grinder on the head where it interferes, or clock your distributor differently(bring engine to TDC compression stroke #1 cylinder, drop the drive shaft in where you need to and wherever the rotor points, that is now your #1 plug terminal, just keep the same firing order...this can move your vacuum can to a position where it has more room to rotate as well)..beyond that your distributor may simply not fit...I know some people here use those though

are you sure it is correct for a BB and not a SB, seeing you got it at a swap meet? What is the model number?

We used our Dremel and ground down the head(bur from casting) and clocked it now it fits perfect. Thanks guys.
