Is the pitman arm supposed to sit flush with the centerlink?, I'm using the same one and it seems to sit about 1/4 up, I've bent 2 clamps trying to get it flush, is there a method?, Maybe hone the link? I'm almost positive it was flush when I seperated it...any ideas?

a picture might help

If I am understanding you correctly, the answer is no. It should not sit flush. A 1/4" does sound a bit farther than it should be away, but there should be 'some' clearance to allow room for the dust boot or foam washer, depending on which you have. Also, if there was no clearance you would have 'metal-to-metal' rub when turning the wheels...As the center link moved from side to side.

You'll be OK as the drag link rises and falls as you turn the wheels left and right. Before you button everything up, put the front of the car on stands and shuttle the wheels full in both directions. Note the minimum clearance between the top of the drag link and the bottom of the oil pan. If you have a minimum of 1/8 clearance your OK. Suspension travel does not affect this clearance as it is contained by the idler arm and the pitman.
