One day a man walked in a store

'In what aisle could I find the Polish sausage?'
The clerk looks at him and says, 'Are you Polish?'

The guy (clearly offended) says, 'Well, yes I am.
But let me ask you something.
If I had asked for Italian sausage,
would you ask me if I was Italian?

Or if I had asked for German Bratwurst,
would you ask me if I was German?

Or if I asked for a kosher hot dog.
would you ask me if I was Jewish?

Or if I had asked for a taco,
would you ask if I was Mexican?'

'If I asked for some Irish whiskey,
would you ask if I was Irish?'

The clerk says, 'Well, no, I probably wouldn't!'

With deep self-righteous indignation, the guy says,
'Well then, why did you ask me if I'm Polish
because I asked for Polish sausage?'

The clerk replied, 'Because you're in Home Depot

Going in the same vein, I came home from work one day, and me being who I am, felt like a good prank. I made this big story up about there being a Pollack joke of the day on the phone. I told the ex it changed everyday, and today's was especially good, and she needed to call and listen to it.

No problems, she grabbed the phone and dialed the number I gave her... 522 POLQ. (This predated cell phones and texting). She dialed 522 POL... hung up, picked it back up, dialed 522 pol... hung up, picked it BACK up, dialed 522 POL, looked at the phone really funny, and finally said "Hey! There's no Q on our phone, we must have gotten a defective one". I rolled on the floor laughing.

Maybe that's part of why I'm no longer married, she was very gullible, and I couldn't resist taking advantage of her.
