I have a Brake Booster I removed from my 1969 Coronet when swapping it back to manual brake. The booster still has the linkage attached and hose connector. I am asking $200 OBO , located in Alabama

I still have this if anyone is interested.

Asking $120

Was it disc/drum or all drum?
Actually, I don't know if that even matters?

That booster is for drum/drum usage. For front disc you need the dual diaphram booster. I know first hand as I had that booster on my 68 Charger when I converted to front disc's. Not enough boost to hold the car. I thought it wouldn't matter but when I found out I could hold the brake and tromp on the gas, the car would walk away. I thought my master cylinder was the culprit but after speaking with Cass at Dr. Differential, I was enlightened. I now have the dual ballast booster. World of difference.

Glad you pointed that out, I did not know much about the booster when I removed them. I had converted back to manual brakes.

So in your opinion, having a booster on all drums isn't worth me retrofitting one on my car? I have all drums, manual right now.

I really do not have an opinion on Power versus manual brakes. It has to do with personal preference. I wanted power disc brakes in my 68 Charger mostly because that is what my wife is used to. My car had power drum brakes from the factory. I upgraded to disc front brakes with a disc brake master cylinder and the boost was not enough to lock the brakes. I was only stating that the booster in this thread should be used for power manual brakes. If you want power disc brakes you need the dual ballast booster. I had manual disc brakes in my Challenger and it was just fine for me but my wife wouldn't drive it because she didn't like the pedal. I do however believe that front disc brakes are a big improvement over the drums when it comes to safety and stopping abilities.

ok, i will pass then i need power disc booster.thanks

If it will give me more stopping power than I have now with only manual drums, I'm all for it. I wonder what all else I'd have to do to use this booster?

EDIT - Sorry. After doing some research, your booster apparently won't work with my all-drum setup. :(
