For those running the Promax Six Pack secondary jet plates, does this look right, is the gasket supposed to be closed behind the jets? Or does the jet well go up in front of gasket? I’m guessing it’s right since the car doesn’t super lean out when getting on it, just seems weird to me.

Also checked Promax website photos and gasket looks correct. Jet well must go up then……

I'm pretty sure those holes where the jets screw in shouldn't have ANY thing obstructing them

I know the stock ones use a thin sealing plate behind them. i would think you need them with the Promax also

It will depend on how thick the Promax plate is. Looking at the countersunk screws, it is probably quite thick, which would allow for machined passages on the back of it.

Ended up just emailing Promax and there’s channels directly above the jets, so just screw in and go. That’s what I figured since the car gets plenty of fuel.

I had to take apart and reassemble my 6bbl trio a couple of times after I got them back from Promax, but I share blame for the reason(s) why.
I mentioned that because I should have known the answer to the op question.
Anyway I didn't flush out the braided stainless steel fuel lines I got from Promax and I got tiny clippings of ss braid clippings in the fuel passages of my carbs.
