My '68 Coronet R/T has a flasher unit laying under the bottom of the dash between the steering column and the ignition switch. I would think that it should be secured with some type of mounting similar to the ones on the ash tray. Can someone tell me what is correct? A picture would sure be helpful, if a flasher mount is needed.

There is probably a pair of "tangs" on the side of the ash tray that the flasher is held in. Contort yourself and have a look

69 Runner.... there is a set of tangs on each side of the ash tray along with a flasher or relay on each side. This is another flasher down by the steering column, and I'm trying to see if it should be mounted similar to the ones on the ash tray, or if it just lays under the dash.

Probably not a flasher since there should only be two (one for turn signals, the other for emergency flashers) More than likely it's either a buzzer or maybe a timer relay if there is an ignition key light.

Maybe it's a timer, because it does have the ignition key light.

Might not be a holder then. The emergency flasher on my Duster is located near the fuse box (driver's knee area) but there aren't any "tangs" to hold it in place

My 69 has two clips under the dash , one on each side of the column , one for the turn signal flasher the other for emergency flasher.

Thanks. I may remove one of the tangs from the ash tray and see if I can install it by the steering column.
