I have the rare 72-74 W-100 8 3/4 housing & axles with 5.5 inch bolt pattern!
It's a bolt in swap on the 85-93 truck!

Not positive but the W series trucks (4x4) had the 5.5" BC.....

The 72-74 w-100 DID have 5.5 pattern. I just pulled apart a 72. Also, 15 years ago a friend switched his 85 to 8 3/4 with a 72 w-100 axle. BTW, the 72-74 TWO wheel drives still had 4.5 BP
