I have a decision to make on my 72 Rallye. The suspension is in need of some rebuilding. I have a problem with the lower control arms. At some point the car was abused. The k frame is curled up a little in front of the skid plate on the drivers side. The drivers LCA was changed to a 69 and older piece. While they were installing the control arm, they must of decided that the sway bar wasn't going to bolt to it(duh!!). So the torched of the rear sway bar mount. The sway bar itself is just hanging out. Its connected to the k frame, but neither LCA. The LCA on the passenger side is a proper 70-72 piece with the center swaybar mount(still there!). Although the hole is egg shaped pretty bad.
Now that was a mouth full. But my options are to hunt for the rare original 70-72 LCA's or use the Q1A tubular LCA's.
I have searched this site up quite a bit today to see if anyone posted a thread on these parts (Q1A LCA's) and haven't come up with much of anything. I see that Mancini and a few sell them and that they seem to have the center swaybar mounts. Are these good or bad? Would I be better off just going with them then trying to find 40 yr old parts and pay darn near the same prices for the Q1A's?
P.S. I found this site whice has them listed 4 $70 less than Mancini:http://www.naake.com/store/52308-lower-control-arms-mopar-b-e-body.html
