Hey guys...

When I picked up my new k-frame for my '73 Sat/Road Runner Clone, the guy at the yard was suggesting doing a rear end swap to a 70-72 style 8 3/4 rear. He mentioned it would require removing some the isolator (one year only option on the 73) and some other bits, but didn't catch them all...

Has anyone done this? Is it doable? What is involved?

Thanks...

Thanks, 69 Runner...on a difficulty scale, where would you put it? Is it a bolt-in swap or am I going to need to weld?

I think Mopar Action just did a big article on this. I haven't got to this part of my 73 yet. It is very doable. If you go with the 71-72 route, you will need shock plates, u-bolts and I think thats about it. (Could be wrong, it happens.) Was that Mark at Sweetwater you were talking to?

It was in fact Mark that I was talking to...he was very helpful and sure he'd walk me through it if I called him...also great prices!
