Ok, we got the 440 in, rebuilt 8 3/4 3.55. New BFG (I know). It always spins hard and slides to the left. With a factory set up, how to adjust for that? He doesn't want a 4 link. Longer rear shackle on the left?

Funny my car goes to the right...My guess is the clutches in the sure grip...I,m gonna go with a detroit locker in my next setup..

is it a one legger?
Open diffs generally go straight because one tire isn't spinning.

Many times it's the tires that cause it to go one way or another. Try switching them side to side to at least eliminate them from the equation. Air pressures can also play a factor and don't forget to measure the roll out of the tire. If switching them makes the car go the other way, they probably have a different roll out but measure them anyways that way you know what you're dealing with. Using a cloth type tape measure is the best way to measure tires. Next, I would check the alignment of the rear with the front. The better alignment shops can check your 4 wheel alignment. I would do this before swapping out suspension parts but when you do, I would go with an extra leaf in the right side springs instead of swapping out shackles....
