I’m turning my 69 Coronet into a Super Bee clone (keep your opinions to yourself). It’s a factory A/C car and I know the air cars had the 330 horse 383 and were painted turquoise. I was always under the impression the turquoise plants had a red pie tin. I just ordered an unsilenced air cleaner and I want to get the correct color pie tin.

Orange with a turquoise engine?
Yes, unless someone says different. Check out NicksGarage, he has some information about these….

I'm calling red. Except for the Hemi, Sixpack and hood induction cars.

Sorry that did not help you, I thought for sure that it would of. From what I read there it says they were red until early 69, then in late 69 they went to orange. I hear it depends on the build date of the car, and it doesn’t matter but then I hear that if it has AC it would say 4 barrel on it. Technically I don’t think there is a real definite answer. There is this post here also that can MAYBE help….

Pie tin color

Otherwise I hope we can get more people to chime in here to get a definite answer.
