Members of the "Greatest Generation are passing away to eternal rest with their Brothers that paid the ultimate price are getting fewer and fewer. I treasure each and every time that I meet one of these Warriors. I thank them and their Families for what they ALL did in those dark days of Nazism, Fascism and the Japanese Warrior mentality. God Bless them all, Past, Present and Future.

There is a very good documentary on the History Channel right now. It's called "D-Day in HD".

Our family had a member jump in behind Utah Beach with the 101st Airborne. He was later wounded in Bastogne and got his ticket home. His name was Corporal John B Gardner.

He had 3 other brothers serving with him in the ETO.

Two of them were wounded. The other was killed in Bastogne on Christmas Eve.

Seriously. Not making this up.

We owe a lot for what all of these brave men at Normandy did. Freedom isn't free.

The bravery of those soldiers is incomprehensible.
