And having to put the vehicle registration on the steering column so it could be read from the outside of a parked/locked vehicle?

I never heard of meter maids, so I had to look them up.

Scantily clad.

As soon as I saw your post, my musical brain kicked in... and there was the Beatles

The ones where I grew up only had a few Cushman's.

There was a sizable fleet of Harley trike's though.

The article is dated on my day of birth. 11/26/57. lol.

They have them in Greensboro NC. It's like they have a 6th sense; the minute your meter runs out, there they are with their ticket book.

Woman's intuition!

12-

That car has a very "American version of Mad Max" vibe about it.

...and I think the driver might actually be wearing the costume from post #4.

I'm suddenly a big fan of meter maids carrying hand cuffs!!

its big business in the cities...
they are just like ironbuilt says, magically appearing the second your time has expired.
the ones i dont care for are when they keep ticketing citizens at their own houses for parking on the sidewalk,
or whatever because they have No parking at all.
most of the people they keep hitting are not exactly rich in any way,
and it seems like the city could care less about finding a solution.
esp when they can keep milking citizens daily.......
i could never live in a city.....
