Ok, some people may think I'm an idiot for wanting to remove it, but I'd rather just take my shirt off and cruise with the windows down than leave the windows up with my ac on. I just got off the phone with Bouchillon the gentleman had some very interesting information for me and seemed very knowledgeable but 650 bucks seems to be a little much to delete my damn ac. I currently have a 4 groove crank pulley, two groove alternator, single groove power steering, and a single groove water pump. My ac and alternator are on grooves 1 and 2 of the of crank, the 3rd groove is empty and my power steering and water pump are located on the 4th groove. I was told this is set up wrong as I don't have an idler pulley. I was told the power steering should be on the third groove, I have yet to see a problem with it being set up on the 4th but who knows I'm not a pro. Is there a reason I can't take the ac compressor off along with all of its accessories put a single groove alternator ( and all of the non ac brackets) and run a belt from the single groove alt. to the first groove on the crank pulley? Would it not line up correctly? If that is the reason, I have access to a two groove crank pulley and a non ac water pump pulley. It all looks like it would line up but I don't want it to be detrimental to my engine. The only problem I see is the guy from Bouchillon told me that the pwer steering pump should be on the 3rd groove and its on the 4th which means the guy that originally did the car put the power steering pump in the wrong place????
any help is appreciated! thanks again guys
