Repairing 69 RR Hood

I have a 69 RR with the N96 option(not that it matters think they are the same hood). Anyways. Mine had what seemed like 4 to 5 paint jobs on it. Plus it seemed to have been the target of a brutal attack with a ball peen hammer( see attached pic). I've looked the web over for what I'm asking. Some hoods seem to have a peak down the center of the hood the whole way. Some seem to flatten completely out about the hood vent area. Trying to see what you guys think. Should the peak go the whole way?? I included a pic prior to me screwing with it.

Geez.... I sold my 69 RR many years ago....but I "think" the peak is only in the front of the hood

Thanks guys. I got it. Peak halfway. Just got done gluing the inner structure back to the hood skin.
