OK, so I ordered an alternator from a local parts house a few months ago. Put the old one in the box as a core and sent it back.
Now I'm finally getting around to putting it on the car and wiring it. This has been a complete restoration and the car has been apart for around 6 years(another long story).
So, anyway, I ran the wiring harness out to the alternator and found that the harness has provisions for the big positive wire and 2 blade terminals(dk blue and dk green), but the new alternator has only one blade terminal. Regulator is the electronic one, not the older mechanical one.
Did a little research on the parts store web site and they show the one blade alternators up to '72 where it changes to a 2 blade plus the positive wire.
Am I going to have to order the newer alternator to make this work or what?
