I'm looking at buying a new console top plate for manual shifter for my upcoming tkx swap on my 69 Charger. I was recommended to change all three top plates of the console by Brewer performance, as it might look off to have one new and the rest worn original.

I wanted to check if anyone had any experience with the various top plate kits that are out there. Brewer apparently got theirs from vans auto (Console Top Plate 3pc 4 Speed 1969 - 1970 B-Body) and I see that pg classic (131-70 Mopar 1969-70 B-body Diecast Woodgrain 4 Speed Console Top Plat)
and OER also have theirs (https://www.classicindustries.com/product/1969/dodge/charger/parts/*mb535.html).

I don't know if they are all manufactured at the same place, however, or if they differ in quality between the vendors?

The old PG classics 4 speed top plates did not fit. They were warped. They were retooled and fit better BUT there was lots of them floating around. If you go with PG I would check fitment as soon as it arrived. Vans from what I understand has made their own tooling..

It's unfortunate that you can't just buy a repro of the thin aluminum top plate that's glued onto the console top plate, that has the woodgrain or even just a plain polished aluminum for the console, and not the entire top cover parts...all you see are cheap sticker sheets. My top plate is in good condition; only the "plate glued onto the top plate" or whatever you want to call it needs to be replaced.

Use wood veneer.
