Reproduction Fender tags

Some time ago, Someone gave me the name of a guy who was able to reproduce exact fender tags with exception to a little angle mark/hole. Does anyone know him or how to get ahold of him? I have the original to my Superbee, but would rather have a brand new one and keep the original filed.

Cool. Thanks everyone. I actually called him and searched his phone number in my email.
I had spoke to him 5 years ago too. So I just forwarded the email to him with a photo of my fender tag.

I've heard of more than a few fender tags being stolen right out from under the hoods of cars at some of the bigger shows.

Usually happens when the owners leave thier cars to go walk around and take in the rest of the show and nobody is around to keep an eye on things.

I agree. How often do we see a car for sale with the '...lost fender tag' in the description. How do you think that happens? I seems that in most cases it's someone putting the tag aside and losing track of it or the person has an illness or accident and the remaining family members sell the car but have no idea where to even look for the tag. Cars without the fender tag seem to sell for less than those having the fender tag. Plus, without a broadcast sheet (which you have) one cannot say with 100% certainty what options were on the car when built other than the drive line from the VIN.

Columbus is the bed bug capitol of the country and I can believe that a bunch of filthy types go there, but Carlisle is in Amish country. Don't tell me that those Amish are a bunch of thieves?!?!?!?!

Yep, the Amish not only snag them when they get a chance ,they also reproduce them ........but you can spot them because they're made out of wood

I've heard of them getting stolen from car shows.

And to accurately reproduce one, and have the right info on it, if you don't have the original fender tag, you can do it referencing the original build sheet correct?

Production numbers from Lynch rd. are not on broadcast sheet. Data tags said they would have tu guess at it based on build date. I put my broadcast sheet and fender tag somewhere where I would not lose them, haven't been able to find them now for ten years.

I'd be willing to bet:

40% of all missing tags are because a previous owner decided they'd be safer "where I know I won't lose it".

30% were removed by the body shop during painting and lost.

10% removed and kept by PO when car was sold.

10% were stolen from "that parts car out back of my buddy's house, or other theft".

10% rusted away.
