Hello,

I am new to the world of Mopar and have a 1970 Satellite that I am restoring. I would like to lowering a few inches to lose the gap between the fender and top of tire. Do you have any suggestions for a kit?

Thanks
Jon

I don't know if anyone sells a kit, but I would just buy the components, for the front you can get 2" drop spindles for around $300 and then long u bolts and blocks for the rear leaf springs shouldnt cost more than $40 or so...

I'm also thinking of converting it to power disc brakes in the front, have you done that?

Look to the site sponsors on the right side of the page. You can contact James at PST for your brakes & suspension needs.

I used pirate jacks for my front disc brake kit, they are pretty knowledgeable, quality seems good as do the prices.

I have driven cars with drums on all corners and it doesnt mix well with any type of hot motor well, 318 2bbl may be ok though...

If you are going disc, then I would do that at the same time you get the drop spindles...

I personally would get all new Poly bushings and front end parts from pst {I think the kit is like $400 for a 70 b body}, then I would all pirate jack and have him put a kit together with the drop spindles you want, I personally wouldnt lower the rear of the car I would just fill that quarter with as much tire as will fit...

Thanks for all your advice! I will add some pictures soon, I have some rust areas that need attention prior to the suspension. Thanks again

Welcome to FBBO

allot of different ways to get it lower

Depends on how low you can go what tire wheel combo,
whose actual suspension components you ultimately choose,
shackles or rollers or lowering blocks, will help on the rear with leafs,
you could go to coil overs tubular adj. control arms etc.
&/or drop spindles too in the front too

Magnum Force, QA1, Hotchkiss, Reilly MS, etc. etc. etc.
Many different ways to skin a cat !!
I'd suggest check out Resto-Mod & Pro-Touring
or Racers Hangout or General discussionforums &
possibly use advance search above on the top right of the page

this is the welcome wagon, there's really not as many viewers here,
many more in the others, this section is not really intended as a tech or Q&A section either

or possibly search the members builds/restorations forum section too

good luck & Happy Moparing

You can lower the rear about an inch for free by flopping the front hangers and enlarging the holes to match. Free is for Me.
