Will adding frame connectors and frame box stiffeners for better handling cause a harsher ride?

I don't think I would call it a harsher ride, but it really helps keep body flex to a minimum. I have connectors and torque boxes on all my cars and definitely wouldn't want to go back without them.
I believe it stiffens up the ride. I can't say its a harsh ride but with next to no flex it is pretty darn firm. Not in a bad way.
