Hello All I figured I would join this forum as I am already a member of Cuda-Challenger and FABO as well as moparts.

I recently aquired a 72 340 4spd RR and I was looking to join the ROADRUNNER NEST website but that seems to be defunct now as I submited my registration and have heard nothing back in almost a month.

Anyway I have only been able to find that 329 340 RRs came with 4spds in 1972. I was wondering if that information is correct.

Thanks,
Chris

A quick check of the members list there shows new additions as recent as two days ago, I would try again. A great source of information specific to the fourth generation of Plymouth b-bodies. One of that sites admins, Eric, may be able the help you with the stats, he keeps an extensive registry of the Plymouth b-bodies for these years. Also posts on moparts from time to time under the user name "butterscotch71", may be able to get him there.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!
Just checked on your production # and 329 is what I get too. How about some more details on it?

Hey Chris, I belong to the Road Runner Nest also. The above link works. FBBO and the Nest are my go to sites.
Welcome tell us more about your 72 I have a 71 RR.

Yes the link does work, I registered a month ago but it is up to a moderator to activate my account which is the problem.

The RR is a 340 4spd pistol grip bucket seat console car with an 8 3/4 3:55 sure-grip rear. It is all numbers matching and under some primer and bodywork is the original EW1 white paint. It was White with a gold interior and gold strobe stripe. Its mostly unmolested except a previous owner tried to dye the interior black and did some bad rust repairs which I will need to correct before paint.

The original 1972 RR ONLY grille was robbed off of this car to be used on a CLONE by the PO!!!!!!!!! :angryfire:

It is possibly the LAST 340 4spd RR built in 1972! Build date is July 14th 1972

Kool car, built the day after my 3rd b-day. You going to restore this one?

Yes this car deserves a restoration, I will get her road worthy first because I have too many other cars already in line for restoration.

I guess im going to give up trying to join roadrunnernest.com Nobody's home

I have been thinking of going back to original but I haven't been able to find any real good photos of what it looked like.

Here is a link to a guy that im told has helped a lot of guys find out things about there car, Ive never tried him but maybe it can help you find out everything your looking for. Very nice and well worth restoring.. Good luck.
