Wally world has 15w40 Rotella T4 for $71 - 5gal right now at a rollback price. That's $14.20 a gal which is a real good price for here. Might be different elsewhere I don't know. That's what I run in my 18 Cummins diesel.

Robot or human?

Your turbo would to have full synthetic 15w-40, lol! I’ve run that when I couldn’t get the full synthetic.

I don't run synthetic in my diesel, it's not worth the extra cost. My 3rd diesel truck with no issues running T4.

It doesn't have to be a diesel either, it's a good base oil
plenty of molybdenum in it, especially if it's a blend like 5/30 10/40 15/40, even 70wt :blah: ,
most with detergents added
it's not a straight weight SEA
like the org. like 'the org. Rotella' from Shell Oil, (IIRC for Ford org.)
great oil in it's own rights
my Granddad Elmer/Whitty (RIP) was an Engineer VP for Shell oil,
from the 1930's to 70's, VP in lubricants for 44+ year

Many, many a big rig diesel long haulers,
has gone 1,000,000+ to 2,000,000+ miles using it

much like the org. Delo Oils for GM, from Chevron/Standard Oil
my uncle Ron (RIP) was a Engineer VP for Standard Oil for 45+ years

albeit I'd still prefer to use Rotella 1st, in any heavy duty engine

One of my good friends was an independent trucker and he ran his 2014 Pete with a CAT over a million miles with Rotella 15w40. Only thing that stopped it was the seal went out in the fuel pump and filled the crankcase with fuel. Really good oil. Back in the 70s when I worked at the JD dealer we sold JD oil in 55 gal drums to the bigger farmers and it was Shell oil.

I run it it just about everything. 2001 Cummins, 1991 Daytona turbo, 90 minivan turbo, zero turn mower...debating using it in the Charger too but haven't decided.

I agree. Because of the oil change schedule. Diesels have more blow by, thus oil getting dirty faster. Higher frequency (Especially per quart.) is better than oil quality. Diesel differs than gas.
