Was looking into a new helmet. I have an open face SA2005 helmet now but was thinking about getting a full face.

Are both Snell ratings NHRA approved? I run in the 10's, if that matters. I don't want to get a helmet and have it not pass tech. Our track is kind of lacks when it comes to stuff but for some odd reason they ALWAYS check helmets. I like to get to tech and have piece of mind that I meet/exceeds all the NHRA rules for my class.

If I were you. I'd get the SA2010 helmet. Might be a little more but you'll get 5 extra years out of it. SA2005 good till 2015
SA2010 helmet good till 2020.

I found a SNELL M2010 helmet. SA2010 helmets are nice but the others are alot cheaper. Are the SNELL M2010 helmets good until 2020 also? I don't really need a new helmet but thought I would switch over to a full face.

It's good down to only 10.00 but it does expire in 2020

Thanks SSR. I am not fast like you so a helmet that will pass NHRA tech for down to 10.00 will be perfect for me. Maybe by 2020 I will break into the 9's(hopefully)
