sea foam...stupid name great results, this crap really works

Absolutely. I use it regularly on my newer cars, as the Injectors get dirty from the crap gas. It works as well as anything the Dealer uses to clean them, at $200 a pop from unsuspecting customers.

I thought you were talking about 68 model year color. Give us a little more info please.

It is called sea foam, and has a picture of a ship on the can.. You can add it to oil or gasoline.(8 ounce can) It does a great job on sticky lifters, too. You can buy it at any Parts store.

All I can say is that we sell a lot of Sea Foam to the shops in our area. Must be pretty good stuff.

Crown Victoria owners have been using it for a long time and highly recommend it. They use it three ways: pour it in the gas tank and drive with it. Pour it into the engine oil, run the engine for a short time, drain and change the oil. And the third is to pour it into the EGR hose so it cleans the valves, but make sure you give the local fire department a heads up because it creates smoke like your house is on fire and neighbors have been known to call in a fire. :)

Use it in all my cars. Can even suck it in the intake , car will smoke like you blew the engine . I put it in the gas tank spring and fall .

And what Bruzzila said!!

I had a 2007 Patriot at 100k with a ticking noise, but the vehicle ran great. Sea foam, and 10 miles, the noise went away. The engine ran much better, and The next owner still loves the vehicle.

I use it for fogging the boat engine for winter layup.

It works in everything, it even cleaned out my lawn mower. Granted, you don't need to use much of it. an 8 ounce can in the crankcase for 10-20 miles, then changing the oil really gets the sludge out. I like it in fuel Injected modern engines, as is eliminates the need to take the car to a mechanic just to do the same thing. However, I am not ready to put it in my 1980 Gold wing. I will be asking the local Gold wing mechanic about that. I do know any alcohol based crap in an older Honda will Immediately cause the bike to stop running. Personal experience, and I don't appreciate pushing a GL1000 for a mile to get back home. The Japanese bikes have really small orfices, and rubber O-rings in the carbs, and alcohol swells them up to the point that the bike can't get fuel. I drained the tank, and let it sit a day, and put regular unleaded in it, and all was well again.

I used it to clean my engine, I tried everything I could think off to loosen two seized spark plugs so I used the brake booster hose to suck it into the engine, let it sit for half an hr then started it up. the next day the plugs came out and the truck runs like new. de-carbonized all the crud that was seizing the plug threads.

@ monaco, It's a 100% petroleum product so you shouldnt have a problem

I believe in it but be careful putting it in the tank of a old car. If the tank is dirty it will cause it to clog up the fuel filters with everything that breaks loose.

I put it in a old snowmobile that ran like crap wouldn't idle and was just a pain to ride...it took about 1/2 hour but it runs great now.

That is a good idea, I hadn't considered that. it cleans everything, but not as toxic as chemtrol. I used that on my slant six, and it worked great. But the directions say add to oil, idle three minutes max, and drain. That engine inside was sterilized as if it had never run before. So it worked, but it was very string stuff. Sea foam has a more practical use. The trans thing is a good idea though.

Will it clean off carbon from the tops of pistons and around valves?
