Grand Cayman Island has a turtle farm, they sell meat to restaurants. Meat is rubbery and taste less. wouldn't order it again .

When my wife was growing up here in La Paz (1950's - 1960's), the locals would walk through the streets selling sea turtle meat. Then it become a protected species.

They warn you not to bring any turtle products home to US they'll confiscate it at customs. Grand Cayman the turtles aren't wild they're farmed. Only place in the world where they're raised in captivity, so they said.
