I would like to install some retractable (3 point) front seat belts with the shoulder harness but my 2-door hardtop was never designed to accommodate them.

I know that I can get the hardware for mounting the shoulder harness along the roof rail (that's the easy part) but I am concerned that it would not hold properly during a collision.

Any opinions on if this would be safe enough or should I just live with a single lap belt?

Thanks ...

think it would be difficult getting it in secure enough to hold in a collision and have it look cosmetically acceptable ... I'm going with a 5 point shoulder harness ...sometimes you just have to forget period correct in a driver...
