I am having an odd problem.. I have a 383 with an Eddy 600. It took a while over the winter, but finally got it running really well. It ran well for the past couple of months. Then earlier today, I took it for a drive and it started to hesitate a bit. But generally ran okay. I parked it and let it sit for a bit and ran it again. This time, it started running worse. Hesitation got worse. Fearing it would leave me on the side of the road, I brought it home.
After getting it home, I let it cool again for a couple of hours. Fired it up and started, but still has a mid-RPM miss.
I checked timing and it is good. Temps are good. But run it for a bit and it quits. If I give it any throttle, it wants to die, and sometimes does. I assume the gas is good as I filled up last week and have run about a quarter tank through it. I do use a lead substitute in it. I hit it with carb cleaner while it was running, it died immediately. I have also checked for any leaks and vacuum looks good. Sitting just below 15. The needle is not completely steady, but I have never had a time with this car where it was.
It has been a long time since working on a car with a carb, so I am a bit rusty and my memory is a bit foggy...
Can someone point me in the right direction?

You did not specify the year do you have points? also take a fuel sample make sure you do not have water in the fuel

It is a '69 Roadrunner. No points. I swapped to electronic ignition earlier this year. The new distributor has about 200 miles on it.
I'll drain some gas to check for water. Hadn't thought of that since it ran perfectly until today, including an about 20-mile drive yesterday.

sometimes it takes a little bit to migrate if it is comes and goes at random good place to start

I drained some gas. No noticeable water in it. That was a good thought and I wish it would have been that easy.

let the fuel sample stand for a while to separate it may not be noticable at first

I let the fuel sit overnight. No water in the fuel. As far as the ignition, it is a Summit electronic ignition with orange box. It has an Accel coil on it.

How's your fuel filter and fuel pump? Dry or cracked hose sucking air?

I looked at that.. Pump is running good and it has a new filter. I am going to pull the carb apart and clean it, as well.

You may have junk in the carb or a fuel filter clogging up. Years ago, I had a Duster 340 that had a swapped in (used) tank. I had to clean out the carb about once a year, usually finding just a bit of very small debrief in the bowls/ jets. It would run fine for months, then out of the blue, like crap.. I never put the dirty tank and debrie in the carb together until after I sold it.
Later, my 72 pickup started dying while gong down the road. Turned out to be rubber pieces from a siphon hose plugging the fuel filter. Just a couple easy things to check.

You can also run a hose from a gas can straight to the fuel pump. If you still have a problem, it's forward of the gas can.

Cleaned out the carb and replaced the fuel filter. This has me scratching my head a bit.. It is running better -until it warms up. When it hits normal operating temp, the part-throttle stumble is back. It is no longer stalling, but still generally running like crap once warmed up. Thoughts?

I tested the coil. Low voltage. Replaced the coil. Ops check good! Thanks to everyone who gave input!!!
