Shipping car from Michigan to Florida.

Anybody have preferences on a shipper?

Called Reliable (told they would be high). Looking for enclosed trailer.

Thanks in advance!!

Horseless Carriage.

tri-city or tri-county moved a fellow members car out to Colorado from the midwest, and I referred them by his experience to the guy that bought my Cuda, which went from NJ to TX. They are located in NY/NJ, but price was reasonable and they have positive reviews from real people, not inflated ones on yelp or google.

Guy's name is Efram 516-381-6880

Orange Auto Transport.. but man its a crap shoot with a lot of these brokers ..only as good as the guy who takes the bid from them....just did a car from Kansas to NY with them

Do NOT use a broker...ask me how I know.

If I'm ever to do another move it'll be with Inter City.

I'm shipping in the spring. Already did my homework. Going with Intercity Lines. Enclosed carrier. I believe they own their own trucks. Reviews have been very good. Not the cheapest, but reasonable.

I did Reliable, found them the cheapest during November
$1,855 enclosed from Chicago Illinois to So Cal

PS: I had quotes for $1,695 to ride on top shelf out doors from 3 "hot-shot" carriers.
Ha Ha!

As others have said......try not to go through one of those broker "load boards".
I have shipped 7 cars in the last 9 years, had 2 "decent" broker deals but when I used Reliable and Exotic Auto (out of Florida) I had the best results, as in (delivered on schedule and knowing exactly where your car is) for not too much more money!

Got bids, ended up using United Routes. Enclosed trailer $1200. Car delivered, everything done as promised.

I used Horseless Carriage to ship my car from California back to my house in Pennsylvania. They were excellent. The guy who handled and dropped off my car was a true car guy and a true professional.

For me, proof of this came from several aspects:
1) Rich (CornetDarter) gave the guy a nod of approval for being professional when the car was picked up (I wasn't there).
2) The driver had to offload a semi-beat up 60's VW Bug. He treated that car very respectfully and very carefully. It wasn't mine, was old and not restored, so why treat it so well? Well, because he treats ALL cars well ALL the time!
3) My car arrived in perfect condition.

I would use them again without hesitation. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

How much was your quote to ship from KS to NY?

I used Reliable from Michigan to Tennessee. Very professional. Excellent job.

Would use again. I believe around $700.00.

Reliable has been good to me over the years, I too have been burnt by brokers. They promise you the world,, and give you dirt.I had 4 running cars and 1 roller along with 4 crates. So I told the broker that I would buy the whole truck and wanted it a door to door shipment.Got a driver with a load of motorcycles on,would't take a roller or the crates.Prepaid for a whole truck and got crap.NEVER a broker again.

I use door to door transport out of fl,this is a broker but these guys are great,I've used them probably 10 times with only one problem ,and they warned me before I said yes this guy was a brand new driver on there list I said he hasn't f-ed up yet let him take a try well 3 weeks later car wasn't picked up yada yada ,the broker asked me what I wanted to do the only other drivers that would get my car wanted 300 more . The broker payed the extra fees because of all the problems and took the other guy off there list . So yeah most are a pain but some have quality control. Out of the 10 transports I got one guy 3 times and another guy 5 times
