My driver side window didn't roll up correctly today in my 72 RR.
I pulled panels off and saw the window wasn't attached to the regulator/arm where the pinky-sized hole in the window is (hole in window toward front of car). I found a phillips head screw and a thin plastic washer the size of a half dollar along bottom of door. I'm sure where these go. But I couldn't find any other pieces broken inside the door.
What does the screw go into, through the hole in the window, to fasten window? I found this "window channel to glass nut" on the web (Jim's Auto Parts CP-754173). but I'm not sure it's what i want. I also looked in FSM and it was tough to tell what I need. Any help would be great. Thanks

these pieces are what you need
for one attachment for glass to track
2 plastic flat washers,a screw,
a plastic spacer
that fits inside the hole in the glass keeping the screw from contacting the glass
and a round metal spanner type nut
some of it still might be stuck on to the track or glass
its inside of your door somewhere.
they only repop it in plastic junk garbage so don't bother hunting
in that direction if you need.
you might have to source used if you cannot find it in your door

Thanks Flypaper. That's definitely it. I found the screw and one washer. I'll look for the other stuff. But nothing seemed to be stuck to the window. If anyone has a used set, I'm interested.

to make that little small screw spacer in my pic on your own
just use some plastic tubing the same size diameter as the hole in the glass.
that is all it is, a piece of plastic clear tubing that is just the width of the glass in length
and fits into that sandwich of parts

you should also be able to come up with the plastic washer on your own
its the spanner nut is the key

in the repop door kit
that round metal spanner nut is plastic..lol
that is all i have to say about that.
i will say dig around in your door.
the parts are probably somewhere in there or stuck on to the glass
there really isn't a place for them to escape or hide..

Thanks Fly. I found the spanner nut and the second washer still attached to it. The rubber spacer is a bit toast. I'll make one of those and give it a try. Thanks again

good deal!
I'm happy to assist..

i have dissembled a bunch of these doors
and the funny thing about them is
either that assembly almost falls apart on its own
like what happened to you or you will have one hell of a time getting it apart.
i have had a few really challenging ones in my time

Did the same thing that Flypaper said and called it done

Thanks for all the help. I ended up putting a little dab of black permatex on the rubber spacer to complete the circle. Let it harden overnight and got it in. Went much smoother than I had anticipated. I did cheat and put a little Gaskacinch on the washer to get it to stay put on window while I got it all together. Used tiny 90 degree phillips head to tighten it up. All good. Thanks again.
