Does anyone know the paint code/color name/availability for the textured silver paint that was used on the 71-71 Satellite Sebring Plus lower bodies? Nice rough texture, much rougher than the Argent Silver used on grills and wheels???

Thanks.

1972 was the only year a SSP had the Argent Silver lower body.
It wasn't a rough texture at all, as smooth as the rest of the car. When I used the factory code in 2014 on my old car's first repaint it came out too dark. Had to go with a generic argent non textured paint very similar to a Rallye Wheel.

Thanks, Ron. 72 is what I meant (Mine is a 72 Sebring Plus). I remember it being a more textured paint, but that was many years ago, and in galaxies far, far away. Mine has been repainted, but when I get to the body, was wondering what is correct.....

In this picture is my first 72 SSP summer of 77. I just bought from Original Owner with 21,000 miles. You can see the left 1/4 was redone because his neighbor backed into it about a month before I bought it. The argent that was used was much lighter than original when compared to door. The factory argent was as smooth as the car paint. Then in 2014 I bought another in original paint and the argent was smooth as the car paint.

Like RJS stated, it was definitely NOT textured paint. Best as I remember, more of a non-metallic silver paint and a lower gloss than rest of the car.

RJS that was a nice color combo, black, white half top and the silver lower. My 72 SSP was a medium green, dark green full vinyl top and the silver lower section.
