six pack

I am about to purchase the carbs for my six pack set up. My question is you see them for sale for a 69 at around 1700.00 and for the 71 year at around 1400.00 from the same vendor. Both are rated at 390 HP. so what is the difference?

I do not know unless you are lookijng at the difference between the:
1. 440 six-Pack carbs
2. 340 Six Pack carbs

69.5 had different main body and metering plates for the outboards also some had problems with sticking throttle plates on outboards ( easily fixed with a file).
69.5 and early 70 center carbs where vented internally, late 70-71 vented externally.
Probably other things also but they all do the same thing.

440 and 340 carbs are the same except for jetting.
