It's been 5 trouble free years.Havn't gotten of the pump junk yet but managed to coach a 9.5 at over 144 MPH with the street tune.Had 2 daughters get married this year so my racing budget was shot to ****.After the 2nd wedding I tagged onto a track rental, just packed the car and went to Attco.Went to tech and,,,,,,,,,belts expired,,,,,,cage expired:BangHead:
So bought a set of belts and they told me to keep it under 10 oh.so
Few weeks ago went to englishtown

My youngest tagged me for her college loans to the tune of 100k and she didn't even freakin finish!! Looks like I'm going to look at a reverse mortgage so I can at least enjoy a few things before I croak. Wife doesn't want to do one because of all the bad stuff she's heard about it but so far, she's the only one saying bad stuff.

Hung out in the garage today:thumbsup:

We took it apart and found 4 burnt pistons and a few seconds more would have been 8.That's why it fell off to 9.8:D.CCd the stock iron heads that came off to 170cc,,virgin stock heads!

I caught it in time and didn't hurt the bore.So a new set of Diamond pistons were ordered.King bearings and total seal rings with SUPERPERFORMANCE gaskets are delivered and waiting.Todd at Marsh Performance http://www.mopartsracing.com/tmc/ is my new GO TO guy for all MOPAR needs.Great guy and normally answers the phone himself.
The pistons that came out were supposed to be 8.5:1,,,but measured up to 7.44:1 which explains how I was able to run 13 lbs of boost on pump junk. The camshaft was installed 6* advanced.:(
The new pistons will be a true 9:1 with the cam installed straight up like it should. This will also limit the street tune to 3 or 4 lbs of boost on the pump.

That 35 year old milodon pan when I 1st installed it the centerlink hit at full turn.so as you can see in the earlier pic I took a 1 inch tall piece "c" channel was stuffed under the engine plate and that did the trick for over 18 years. But THAT is about to change!
Enter a set of Direct Connection Dart dual plug aluminum heads that were modified by Total Flow products in Michigan. After speaking with Steve Sanchez who remembered these heads that were sent to him by Koffels Place in Ohio.
Steve said I'm gunna LOVE these fueler heads!!:thankyou:

So how is the diet going???
A lot of little tricks out there for not a lot of coin...:)
The heads and aluminum stands are 75 to 8O lbs,the master should be 7 or 8,and a few more pounds for some trimmings.Keep in mind I added a mid plate and soon "J" bars.Moving the engine back 2 inches is like putting 400 lbs in the trunk as per Jimi Vignogna!I have so many people helping it GREAT! Wish they could all come to the track so I van feed them properly.Angelo, you should come too so you can see the 8xx on the board.I supply all the food to the guys in MY pit and your more than welcome to come.Just flick that spec off your shoulder!LOL

Send me a pic of the scoreboard Al when it happens.
I've got lots of other stuff to do.
Best of luck...

And my freind Freddy gave me a master, just have to check the boresize.Hope to be back together in a month or so! Also received a pair of aluminum strut bars and the parts are rolling in!

Also dropped the nose of the engine down from 8* down to 3*Nothched the "K" so any style pan will fit with access to all pan bolts. After dropping the block, that created 3 inches behind the r/s valve cover so we set the engine back a little over 2 inches. The only header tubes that were effected are the 2 by the starter.Above you can see how the bottom of the steering column was chopped off,I was supposed to and pull the column and gut all the 3 on the tree innards but was just too busy so it was chopped. When I get to pull it,,,,will gut it and pretty it up a little.

The dual oil filter set up will also get eliminated and replaced with a System one canister.

Hemi-itis the only thing I wonder about with all the changes is the chassis during landing...You have the mill to make gobs of power which may create a too light front end condition if everything were to work well and the car hook hard. Can any provisions be made with shocks or bumpstops in the event of hard nose down landing?
I know you don't want to hear it but provisions for possible added nose weight later if it is needed...

skicker, wheel stands can be tuned with the suspension adjustments.Wheelie bars might still be needed,,,,,,I'll find out.

Header tubes finally done, had to wait for tube to come in,Trans mount reconfigured and raised the tail up a tad.I dropped the heads off at the welder to close the o-ring grooves. He will have them done by Wednesday and then they get a few thou milled off.The block might come out today and let the cleaning begin for assembly of the shortblock. When the block comes out,the "k" will be boxed and the tabs for the mid plate and engine plate will be finish welded.THEN,,I can degrease the engine compartment, prep and paint.
Another friend Joe {https://dragillustrated.com/di-30-under-30-2016-nova-joe-albrecht/ } will bend up the "j" bars for me and supply me with some extra chrome moly to reinforce the j and make the chute mount.
Had a few friends stop by the other night.Pizza and beer!!
