I need the speedometer cable housing that goes into the tail shaft on my 77 Monaco 440 CHP car. Mine is is little munged up and weeps ATF 4. This is the only leak on the car !

Why not just replace the two seals?

But, if you insist on replacing the speedometer pinion adapter, you must give the number of teeth on the pinion. There are different adapter for different ranges of pinion sizes.

It's red and it's chewed up a bit. It has new seals or o rings but still leaks. Right now the rear end is about a 290 to 1 ratio.

You need the number of teeth. The color is not totally indicative of the tooth count. Pull out the adapter, and two numbers will be embossed into the pinion for the tooth count.

I have adapters and some red pinions. Pm me if you still need one.

Thanks for the replys. When time allows, maybe today I will put the car on jackstands and pull out the piece for ID.
