Has anyone modified an original '65 Plymouth Belvedere steering column shifter from the cables to a single arm in order to use a later TF727?
Other than the different shifting mechanism, is the '66 column identical (diameter, length, etc)?
I noticed that ididit sells a cable shift kit but it's for the later columns that used a shift rod.

Started the stripping of the '65 steering column. Need to cut the arm off the original shifting tube. Make a new arm similar to the later columns. Then order the correct length Morse cable.
Trying to keep it looking original.
