(Not Mine) I posted this over on FABO also figured some of you could use this also.

Found this Ebay ad and wanted to post up here for all of you. I know I have seen talk about these in the past and that people could not find them any longer. I contacted the seller about doing a group buy on them, but he is just getting into them and has to much tied up into the tooling and getting them made so he could not do that right now.

Just make sure your steering coupler is 3" long.

If you have rebuilt your coupler you know how hard it is to get the retainer to clamp back down and stay on.. These help with keeping it in place even if you cant get the ears clamped tight enough.

Since I couldn't find the clip when I rebuilt my steering column last year I just bought the rebuild kit from ebay and the new seal from Steerandgear for $25. No hassle with the new seal, just slide it on.

New seal in top photo. Old seal left and new seal right bottom photos for comparison. You do not put the new style seal over the old style seal.

That is interesting, What is that seal material made of? I dont think I would trust that seal for a long period of time though. It looks like it is fairly thin and could tear or start to get loose... Just my opinion

The black seal boot is thick and stays in place. It's been on over a year without any visible change.

To install the slip on rubber type of seal you have to separate steering column shaft from coupler . Thin rubber near headers and chemicals never seems to last long and tends to loosen up and stretch due to being stretched over coupler and constant heat and cooling . The steel wire design on ebay just slips on and snugs up seal already installed from factory and is factory in appearance compared to rubber seal. I have the steel wire type in my car and love it, works great and installed in two minutes.
