I have a '69 RR, I just had front disc brakes put on and now I have a lot of slop in the steering wheel. Is this something I can fix or should I take it to the professionals? Thanks

Are the wheel bearings new and adjusted properly? A loose wheel bearing will allow the tires to wobble and make the steering feel vague and darty
Torque the wheel bearings to 12 lbs/ft.

Did you have sloppy steering before the brake job ? If not then it could be the bearings aren't adjusted right.

I wouldn't drive it. I agree it seems to be bearings. Jack up the car and wobble a wheel around and see what it does. I certainly agree that you should check the bearings, but also check tie rod ends, pitman arm, etc. Someone might have forgotten to tighten something up, and you don't want to be driving around like that!
