Hello fellow Mopar maniacs :blob1:
I'm Wishnu Ville from Holland and after having owned a number of Mopars over the years (A, B and C-bodies), I currently have the following two B-bodies occupying my garage:
1. The Driver: 1968 Plymouth Satellite 2dr HT
413cui - 4spd - 3.55 8 3/4 rear, narrow 'front runners' in front and fat BFG 285/70s in the back (stock rear axle, stock spring location). Original CA car, imported to Germany, went to Holland in 2006 and I have been the second Dutch owner since March 2008. Original small block 904 A/C car, triple light green. Besides the DY2 paint it now has a black/white interior, with seats and panels from a 68 Coronet 500. Actually these parts came from the Dick Landy clone parked next to my car.
Without getting too technical, the '71 413 (426 2658836 truck engine) has an old school TRW TP203 cam and a Weiand hi rise crossram. All I can say is it's pretty darn fast... Oh, the sticker on the hood says "Crashbox" :icon_mrgreen:
2. The Project: 1964 Dodge 440 9-passenger wagon
Big block push button car, original CA black plate car. Perhaps someone from the Reseda, LA area knows this car? Plate # ORR 425. Imported to Holland in 1998. I am the third Dutch owner.
The wagon had correct 15" steel rims with bias ply tyres when it came to Holland and are still with the car. It currently sits on police wheels with 'modern' tyres. Interior is shot and the paint is faded. In some areas, like the roof, the paint is just not there anymore... However, it is a very solid car overall and the surface rust does give it that time capsule character. Floors are solid, cowl is solid, electric tailgate window still works.
Current engine is a 440 HP2 from a '68 XS, WS or RS car, from carb to pan to exhaust manifolds. The factory dual exhaust was modified a bit to make it fit to the engine, but that was how it was imported from California. Has disc brakes up front, runs, drives, steers. First step is to get it through Dutch DMV inspection:icon_mrgreen: After that, it's Crossram & Crashbox Conversion time. The green Polara parked next to the wagon in one of the pictures is a Belgian export car, slant 6, 3spd on the tree. Needless to say I took out the pedalbox and clutch linkage from that car. The 'rest' of the Polara is going to Switzerland. The 413 in the Satellite will be pulled after next year's season, fitted with an STR intake and MW exhaust and stuffed into the wagon. The '68 440 will go into the Satellite.
I'm hoping to keep y'all posted on the project developments in the next half year or so. Hopefully the wagon will be up and running, tagged and inspected before next season starts.
