Friday March 24th, 2023 at approximately 20:00hr, we were directly hit by one of the most powerful and rarest of tornados.
At the time we thought it was over for us and everything we had, but we lived.
Everyone in our home lived and no injuries. Loss of windows and a lot of siding along with all the exterior power was stripped from the structure.
Our huge century oaks, 4 of the 6, were felled by the tornado. We only lost one vehicle, the rest were banged up but still drivable.

My car got the hell slapped out of it, but all repairable and no glass broken.

Now to get her fixed back up so I can go cruising in her and visit the places she was designed to roam.

Found a place, after calling around, that is willing to fix her back up. classicrestorationsllc.com

I will keep y'all posted as to where we are in the process.

I'm not going to post pictures of the devastation of the town. I still get a huge tightness in my chest just driving through it, suffice to say, if you haven't seen the pictures in the news and online, be prepared for a real slap to the soul.

Glad you are all OK
the car can, looks like it will be fixed

stay safe & have fun cruising again

my deepest & heartfelt sympathy goes out for
all the losses there, property or persons

I can’t imagine experiencing something like that. You’ve got to be so thankful that you’re here to talk about it. I’m sure that rebuilding the community will take years. Hopefully insurance will cover your losses and you’ll be (somewhat) back to normal fairly soon.

Been there, done that, May 8th 2003, OKC. It takes a year or more to get back up and running to a relatively-normal life. Be patient. Be forceful with your insurance estimators, if necessary. Pictures and/or video of your stuff pre-tornado goes a long way on getting what you've paid money for in insurance premiums.

In my situation, Hagerty and Allstate were fantastic to work with. USAA was a gigantic PITA throughout the process.

Wow! You, your family, and your car got lucky, good luck with the rebuild process, not just the car, but everything else you gotta do.
