Hey everyone. I am switching from a standard dash to a Ralley dash in my 69 Coronet.

I have a 68 Ralley dash frame and a restored 69 Insert, just need a wiring harness.

Does anyone have tips etc for removing? I have the shop manual but it doesn't show this, anyone fill me in on bolt locations, I have read there are some bolts under the weatherstripping.

thanks for any help

Once the front windshield is removed, you'll have no trouble seeing the fasteners. And you will be taking out that glass for this.

Just remember that wiring is no different than a hose except it moves electricity from one place to another vice water. I know lots of guys who get all wrapped around the axle over wiring, and all they need to do is be patient and do one thing at a time. A wire that comes off a Temp gauge on the non-Rallye will go to the gauge on the Rallye. If the wire won't reach, cut it, splice in a length of wire to make it reach, and connect it. It's not rocket science, so why pay for a new harness?

Also, get a roll of masking tape and make labels to attach to each wire as you disconnect it. Nothing gets people more messed up than just disconnecting every wire at once and not labeling them.

have to disagree with the other person. a wire is a wire, unless you are going the way you r. connectors are not the same nor is most of the wiring bulb sockets. patti

Don't forget, if your original dash had only a red oil light, you'll need a new sending unit to match the oil pressure gauge as well.
