The set of new tail light lens screws i purchsed look like they are a little too long. Does anyone know if the tail lights with bezel (GTX, for example) use longer screws than the lenses without the extra bezel? (I have the standard '71 SSP/Road Runner tall lights). Thank you.

i believe the screws are the same bezel or no bezel.
have you tried them yet?
it would take me some time to dig mine out and find them
they are in a bag in a couple of boxes with a lot of other hardware
that has been cleaned, bagged and tagged and is ready to go.

Dibbons-where did you get these screws from? They could very well be too long. This is one thing when restoring these old cars, especially when they claim "OE correct" or whatever, and they are not. Case and point, I purchased a set of new door handles, the vendor claimed "OE restoration licensed product". Well, no Mopar part used a metric nut and or stud back in the day and the fit was crap. In fact, the first time I installed them, a part in the mounting of them broke and "fitment" chipped the door paint. These screw should be a 8-24 (?) screw (common) and if not correct length, they could have a thread or two chopped off to work. Just saying

This is true. As I sell used Mopar parts occasionally, I price them as the market sees it. Then I'll get some jerk at the swap meet saying "I can get these new for a little bit more than you're asking for your used ones". Then I'll kindly reply "then I suggest you buy it from them". I don't care if I lose a customer in that scenario. Because around the corner is a dude that appreciates that I have the used OEM part that I'm selling.
