Tail light swap charger

will 71 or 72 rallye tail lights fit in a 74 charger?
Is the bumpers the same?

Yes the RT Tail lights will fit just fine. I have a set in my 74 charger. Its a very cool upgrade from the chrome look. take care not to damage the harness. You need to remove the lower valance and rear bumper to complete the install

I think the only possible issue is if you wanted to mount 73/74 lamps in an earlier car, don't know if there would be enough depth with the bumper sucked in, but yeah there shouldn't be any issue going the other way.

all taillights interchanges between al 71/74s. No need to remove rear valence, and actually is posible to do it with bumper on car, althought tricky.

The only diff you could find is on lower license plate bracket, being a bit shorter on 71/72, than 73/74. Not a big deal but noticeable.

Also, Louvered tail lights are chassis grounded, same as all 72s, since they are pot metal... rest are plastic... ( standards 71 and all 73/74 are plastic )
